Form being sent with empty email field  (See more user questions)

Hi

Thanks for the clarification. My pleasure to assist.

That's how the script works. It can't validate the email address if there
isn't one entered. If there is one entered, it is checked for syntax.

The form is meant to be able to be submitted with an empty email field.
It's the free script, with hundreds of thousands of users. Not everyone
will insist on a visitor entering their email address, some people use it
for feedback, surveys and all sorts of things where they do not insist on
it.

What you are talking about here is "required fields", whereby certain fields
are required to be completed for the form to be submitted. With the Pro
version of the script, you can set required fields, so you can make the
email field a "required" field, which means the form will not be submitted
if the email field is empty.

Any questions, just let me know.

Best wishes.
